Who We Are

Paula Beltrán is the founder of BeltránVoice, where she applies her comprehensive intercultural expertise to content creation and language services. She was born in California and raised in northern Mexico until the age of fourteen, when, along with her parents and sister, she immigrated to the United States. She knows firsthand what it’s like not to have good, strong words to say what she means.

Paula has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Women's Studies from the University of Houston, and completed a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from George Mason University outside Washington, D.C. (Fairfax, Virginia), in 2015.

She has held a State of Texas Teaching License since 2020, with certifications in Spanish, English Language Arts, and English as a Second Language. Committed to continuing her education to best serve her community, she most recently brushed up on immigration law processes via a 2024 summer course at Rice University.

Beyond BeltránVoice, Paula brings her passion for community service to the classroom, empowering a range of voices while teaching accelerated English language acquisition to young people who are new arrivals in a local school district. This hands-on experience deepens her understanding of the nuances of communication for populations from different Latin American backgrounds, directly enriching her work with BV clients.

Whether at USCIS offices, in the classroom, or out in the community, Beltrán's mission is to help others embrace their voice—a lifelong journey we navigate together.
